IPL 2023
The Indian Premier League (IPL) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league that was founded in 2007 by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The 2023 season of the IPL will also be known as IPL 16 or, for sponsorship reasons, TATA IPL 2023. The Indian Premier League (IPL) will be the sixteenth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Gujarat Titans are the team that currently holds the title of champion.
IPL 2023 Background
In preparation for the new season, the BCCI implemented a rule called the Impact Player rule. In addition to the starting eleven, each team is allowed to include a total of four impact players or substitutes in their matchday roster. Throughout the game, we might utilise one of these as a replacement for one of the players.
IPL 2023 Team Player Changes
Shikhar Dhawan succeeded Mayank Agarwal as captain of the Punjab Kings in November 2022. Agarwal stepped down from his position. Trevor Bayliss has taken over as the new head coach of the Punjab Kings, replacing Anil Kumble, who had previously held the position. Chandrakant Pandit became the new head coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders in August 2022, succeeding Brendon McCullum in that role. Brian Lara took over as head coach of the Sunrisers Hyderabad after Tom Moody stepped down to make way for him.
The auction for the Indian Premier League took held on December 23rd, 2022 in Kochi. Sam Curran set the record for the most money ever paid for a player in the history of the Indian Premier League when he was purchased by the Punjab Kings for a total of 18.50 crore (US$2.3 million).
