Bengaluru Metro Route Map, Timings, Lines, Fare, and Stations
The Bangalore Metro is a rapid transit system serving the Indian city of Bengaluru. It is the first metro system in South India. The metro began operations in 2011 and currently has two lines, with a third line under construction and two more lines in the planning stage.
Route Map
The Bangalore Metro has three lines:
- Purple Line: This line runs from Baiyappanahalli to Mysuru Road. It has 24 stations.
- Green Line: This line runs from Nagasandra to Yelachenahalli. It has 18 stations.
- Pink Line: This line is under construction and is expected to be operational in 2023. It will run from Baiyappanahalli to KR Puram.
The fourth line, the Yellow Line, is in the planning stage and is expected to be operational in 2025. It will run from R.V. Road to Bommasandra.
The fifth line, the Blue Line, is also in the planning stage and is expected to be operational in 2027. It will run from Silkboard to KR Puram.
The Bangalore Metro operates from 5:30 AM to 11:30 PM. Trains run every 5-10 minutes during peak hours and every 15-20 minutes during off-peak hours.
Fare
The fare for the Bangalore Metro is based on the distance traveled. The minimum fare is Rs. 10 and the maximum fare is Rs. 60. There are also monthly passes available.

The Bangalore Metro has 51 stations. The list of stations is as follows:

The Bangalore Metro is easy to navigate. The stations are well-signed and there are maps available at the stations. You can also use the Bangalore Metro app to find the nearest station and to plan your journey.
To board a metro, you need to purchase a ticket from the ticket counter or from the automatic ticket vending machines (ATMs). You can also use a smart card. Once you have a ticket, you need to tap it on the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) gates to enter the station.
To exit the station, you need to tap your ticket or smart card on the AFC gates again. The fare will be deducted automatically.
