The Delhi Milk Scheme (DMS) is a government-run program in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, India, that aims to provide high-quality milk to citizens at affordable prices. The program was launched in 1959, with the aim of ensuring that citizens have access to fresh and nutritious milk. The DMS operates a network of milk collection centers and milk chilling units across the city. Milk is collected from farmers and milk cooperatives, and it is then processed and packaged at these centers. The milk is then distributed to retail outlets and supermarkets across the city.
One of the main objectives of the DMS is to provide milk at affordable prices to citizens, particularly to low-income and marginalized communities. The DMS sells milk at a subsidised rate, which is significantly lower than the market price. This ensures that citizens are able to access fresh and nutritious milk at a price that they can afford. Another important objective of the DMS is to support small and marginal farmers by providing them with a steady source of income. The DMS procures milk from farmers at a fixed price, which ensures that farmers are able to earn a stable income even during times of low milk prices. This support helps farmers to improve their livelihoods and to continue to produce milk.
The new prices of DMS products are as follows :-

The DMS also operates a network of milk chilling units, which helps to improve the quality and shelf-life of the milk. Milk is chilled immediately after collection and is then transported in refrigerated vehicles to ensure that the milk remains fresh and of high quality. This helps to reduce the wastage of milk, and it also improves the safety and hygiene of the milk.
The DMS also pays special attention to the quality of milk, it regularly carries out testing to ensure that the milk procured, processed, and distributed meets the prescribed standards for milk quality.
In conclusion, the Delhi Milk Scheme is an important government-run program that aims to provide high-quality milk to citizens at affordable prices. The program is vital in ensuring that citizens, particularly low-income and marginalized communities, have access to fresh and nutritious milk, and it also provides a stable source of income for small and marginal farmers. The DMS also pays special attention to milk quality, and it regularly carries out testing to ensure that the milk meets the prescribed standards for milk quality. It is a vital program that has been providing milk for the citizens of Delhi for over 6 decades now and it continues to be an important service for the citizens of Delhi.

Really angry with the quality of product. We have been a long time user of the Delhi milk scheme milk. but on 21st July 2023 we and locals in our area recieved adultered and duplicate milk packet which contained some liquid with soap water smell and color was like muddy water. Highly disappointed with the service and the worst part there is no customer support or official site mentioned on pack is available for customer for use. Very bad experience
